Digital India, conceptualized as its flagship program by the Indian government, has since pressed forward in the digitalization of the country’s social infrastructure. The Smart City Mission is one of the essential policies introduced by Prime Minister Modi's administration that, alongside economic development, promises to establish an infrastructure that solves existing water and electricity supply problems, provides efficient public transportation and supplies proper waste management and sanitation services to citizens in 100 towns and cities within 5 years. Advanced ICT solutions are among the 10 basic goals to be achieved in the selected cities.

BMC, in transforming Bidhannagar into a Smart City, are raising the aspects of intelligent government services, education, healthcare, and safety and security as primary concerns. Intelligent government services include improvement of governmental services via digitalization of services provided by the municipal council, database unification, creation of a user-friendly dashboard for easy information access, and establishment of an online channel to the public.

With this business collaboration, V-cube and INTELLISYS hope to propel forward the companies’ Asian region business development plan--with a primary focus on India--that was established in March 2016. Both companies have agreed to provide services offered by the V-CUBE Group to realize BMC's vision of an environment where its population are able to access the visual communication services that span 41 zones within the city. The companies shall also work hand-in-hand to provide the services required to bring Digital India into realization.
