V−cube Inc., (headquarter: Tokyo Meguro-ku, President & CEO: Naoaki Mashita ) updated the "V-CUBE” services including “V-CUBE Meeting”, Web conference service on 29 August 2014. By adding the new active speaker feature, the video of the person that is speaking is enlarged and brought up front, thus all participants in the conference can be aware of the person speaking and see their facial expression..The function connecting "V-CUBE Meeting" to the video conference system, Polycom, which had been carried out for interconnection, has been enhanced, thus, information now can be provided from video conference system providers to web conference service providers. As a result, information, which had been available only from web conference service providers, now can also be shared from video conference system providers, enabling the information to be shared and switched freely from both video conference system providers and video conference service providers for their meetings. At the same time, the services are accessed from mobile devices including tablets and smart phones. While using the existing video conference systems, web conference can be effectively utilized for a wide range of communications with overseas business bases which are not equipped with video conference systems, business trip destinations, customers and partners, in conjunction with web conference services.

- When participants exceed a maximum number of screen images available, an active speaker mode which automatically magnifies the image of a speaker in a meeting/conference is added.（※1）
- An interconnecting function with video conference system, Polycom is enhanced. Information, which could be shared only from web conference service providers, can be shared from video conference system providers. As a result, information now can be shared and switched from the both providers, to meet the needs and contents of conferences and meetings.（※2）

（※1）Some images including self-image will be fixed.
（※2）This function utilises protocol called “BFCP”, however, it may not become available in video conference system, subject to your equipment or settings, even when the video conference system is compatible with BFCP.

- Member ID passwords and/or staff ID passwords, which could only be changed by an administrator, can now be changed by members and staff for a purpose of the liability relief of an administrator.
